My Mother's Prayer

Sometimes I want to be funny, other times I want to be thankful.

Rick is on call and Gracie (as usual) is sleeping in his place. We read two Fancy Nancy books, "Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy" and "Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly". After she finished both books, I opened my itunes and played the "Miracle" CD. We have listened to this for years. Well, since she was an itty bitty baby. The music has become special to me and even lulls me to dreamland. My favorite song is "A Mother's Prayer". It seems like the lyrics were written just so I could sing them to God. I highlighted below my favorite verse. Click on the arrow in the box and follow along. You won't be sorry.

A Mother's Prayer

I pray you'll be my eyes
And watch her where she goes
And help her to be wise
Help me to let go

Every mother's prayer
Every child knows
Lead her to a place
Guide her with your grace
To a place where she'll be safe

I pray she finds your light
And holds it in her heart
As darkness falls each night
Remind her where you are

Every mother's prayer
Every child knows
Need to find a place
Guide her with your grace
Give her faith so she'll be safe

Lead her to a place
Guide her with your grace
To a place where she'll be safe
